Both Chandra and Zac traveled to Palm Springs, CA for the 28th West Coast Retrovirus Meeting in October. Chandra spoke about his work on comparing different humanized mouse models for our HIV-1 studies on novel ART and PrEP. His talk was entitled "Development of humanized mouse models without fetal tissues for HIV-1 mucosal transmission and PrEP studies."

Zac had two presentations. First, his talk "Spatiotemporal binding of cyclophilin A and CPSF6 to capsid regulates HIV-1 nuclear entry and integration" came really close to winning an award. He also presented a poster on cyclophilin A localization in cells under different conditions.

Although Zandrea needs to learn how to take better pictures, Chandra and Zac both did a great job and learned a lot.

What a fun meeting! It was great to see so many friends from the midwest/east coast in attendance, especially from Pennsylvania and Ohio. We'll definitely be back and we encourage others to attend in the future!
