On Monday, we made the difficult decision to shut down all non-essential work in the laboratory due to the 2019 nCoV pandemic. While we think our research is important, Dr. Ambrose wants to make sure all staff and students in the laboratory and their families are safe and to help "flatten the curve." We will be writing, reading, and creating presentations from home until it is safe to come back to work and interact with each other and our colleagues in person again.

We hope all of our colleagues here at Pitt and around the world are safe and practicing physical distancing, too! If you need information on how to stay safe, please check out information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

See you soon!

UPDATE: The University of Pittsburgh is shutting down all non-essential research by Friday, March 20th, which is the right move!

UPDATE 2: On June 1, the Ambrose Lab restarted research in shifts as to maintain reduced capacity in the lab to maintain physical distancing. All personnel wear masks at all times with additional face shields when within 6 feet for longer than 15 minutes. We plan to continue this practice for the foreseeable future.
